Tony is a Technical Engagement Consultant at Aberdeen covering the north of England and Scotland from Sheffield up to Aberdeen.

With over 30 years’ industry expertise, Tony works with advisers providing holistic financial planning support on a wide variety of subjects including tax, trust, retirement and estate planning. His focus is on identifying and communicating change and the opportunities this presents for advisers and their clients. He regularly delivers workshops, seminars and bespoke adviser assistance to share his expertise.

Tony is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the PFS, he has a master’s degree in financial planning and business management, and he is also IMC qualified.

Previous roles:
Tony has worked in the industry for over 30 years and has a wide variety of roles, from life and pension administrator, account manager and even a brief spell as an independent financial adviser. He took up his current role of technical consultant in 2006, then under the AXA Elevate banner, in November 2016 Tony moved to Standard Life following the Elevate acquisition. He is now part of the Aberdeen technical team following the company rebrand in July 2021.

Personal life:
In his personal life, Tony lives in Leeds and is married with two supposedly financially independent children. Much of his spare time is now taken up with looking after grandchildren and has the dubious pleasure of being a supporter of Leeds United.
