Beth Mead
Born in Whitby in the North East of England, Beth started her illustrious career with local team California Girls FC. A product of Middlesborough’s Centre of Excellence, Beth joined Sunderland AFC when she was 16 years of age. Recognising the importance of a good education Beth combined playing competitive football with studying at the University of Teesside graduating with a degree in Sports Development.
Beth joined Arsenal in January 2017 and her versatility, moving from a forward role to a winger position has meant she is the mainstay of a successful team. In April 2018, Beth made her senior debut for the Women’s National Football team and has been part of England’s title winning squad at the Women’s Euros 2022 and 2025, also picking up the Golden Boot and being named player of the tournament in 2022.
Beth was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2023 New Year’s Honours for Services to Association Football.
