At Penguin, James leads the design and implementation of AI and data strategy from the ground up. His current focus includes migrating the business to Microsoft’s Power Platform, embedding automation and building the foundations that make AI adoption possible in real-world workflows.
James first began working in systems and process design while living in Mexico City, where he helped reshape education platforms to serve a global audience. Now back in Wales, he brings that same strategic mindset to financial services – with a deep understanding of how to turn messy data and abstract tools into practical wins that free up teams and elevate client service.
He’s passionate about helping firms scale with lean resources by using AI to personalise rather than standardise and believes that technology should amplify, not replace, the value of human advice.
